Six Floor Shift is a free elevator simulator online with a complete three-minute dispatch challenge. You control one four-person car serving six busy floors. Passenger calls show where each rider is waiting and where that rider needs to go. Start the shift, tap a hall call or numbered floor, and watch the live cabin move one floor at a time while the timer, waiting passengers, energy, and service score update.
How to dispatch the six-floor elevator
Each hall call lists an origin and a destination. Add the origin to the route so the elevator can collect the rider. When the car arrives, passengers whose destination matches the current floor leave automatically, and waiting riders board until the four-person capacity is full. Boarding passengers add their destination to the route, just as a real rider would press an inside button. You remain responsible for choosing which waiting floor to collect next and for avoiding an inefficient series of reversals.
Waiting time, energy, and service share one score
Every active second changes the simulation. Waiting riders become less patient, riders inside accumulate travel time, the cabin consumes energy for each floor moved, and new calls appear during the shift. Serving riders improves the result, while leaving calls unanswered and making unnecessary trips lowers it. The live service estimate helps you see whether a route is working, but the final calculation happens when the three-minute timer reaches zero. The result includes a score from zero to one hundred, a letter grade, and one to five stars.
A strategy game rather than engineering software
This online elevator simulator is designed as a short playable challenge. It has requests, capacity, a route queue, meaningful tradeoffs, a fixed ending, and an immediate replay. It does not calculate a real building’s traffic plan, control equipment, model emergency behavior, or provide professional safety guidance. Movement and energy are deliberately simplified so each decision is readable on a phone and a complete run fits into a few minutes.
Original browser simulation with no account
The simulation state, request generator, score formula, interface, and written guidance are original to this project. No external building brand, real tenant data, login service, paid API, or runtime content delivery network is required. The generated mechanical tower is a local visual background, while all timer text, floor controls, passenger calls, route state, and scoring remain code-native and interactive. Restarting creates a clean new shift without asking for a name or storing a personal profile.
Comfortable controls on phone and desktop
On desktop, the six-story tower stands beside the live dispatch console. On a 390-pixel mobile screen, the artwork becomes a compact banner and the console stacks underneath. Large floor buttons, clear hall-call cards, an always-visible shift timer, text status updates, and a moving car marker keep the main flow usable by touch. The interface does not depend on hover, keyboard-only shortcuts, or tiny schematic controls.
